What you get

Built around how bidding actually works here

Not a search box over a database. The details that decide whether a tender is worth your time are on the card before you click.

🔀

Every source, one feed

Every major Ethiopian tender source, merged and de-duplicated. The same tender published in more than one place appears once, not twice.

No more tab-switching
💰

CPO and document price up front

Bid bond and the price of the bid document read straight off the card. You know the cost of entering before you open anything.

📅

Both calendars

Deadlines in Ethiopian and Gregorian dates, side by side, with days remaining counted live — never a stale number.

Ask AI about any tender

Ask a question about a notice and get the answer against that tender's own text — without leaving the feed.

Buyer logos, contact numbers and location resolved automatically, so you can tell at a glance who is actually tendering.

It reminds you, before it is too late

A tender you saved is warned about seven days out, then three, then one, then on the day. Capped at three notices a day, so the ones you get still mean something.

Never miss a deadline

The paperwork, written for you

The CPO return letter that gets your bid security back once the tender is decided, the eligibility check against your own licence and grade, and the full submission pack — on your letterhead, yours to edit before you send.

📝

Edit it before you send it

Every document opens in an editor, not a preview. Change a line by typing, or ask the assistant to rewrite a paragraph — it shows you the change and waits for you to accept it. Nothing is overwritten behind your back.

Every version kept
📊

Spreadsheets that still add up

Price schedules, bills of quantities and a checklist of what the notice asks for. Totals arrive as live formulas, so the sheet still adds up after you change a quantity in Excel.

Drop in the document you bought

The notice is a summary written to advertise. The document you paid 300 birr for is what you are actually held to — drop the PDF, Word or Excel file in and ask your questions against that instead.

Directives, not just tenders

The National Bank, the Ministry of Revenues and the Public Procurement Authority publish the rules that decide what a contract is worth. We read them daily, alongside the market and tax press.

Every buyer in one place

Browse the organisations that tender, what they have put out before and how often — worth a minute before you price a job for someone you have not worked with.

Reach the buying office

The phone number is read off the notice itself and kept with the tender, so a question about a specification does not begin with hunting for a switchboard.

Alerts that reach a closed tab

Deadline warnings can arrive as browser notifications, so they find you when E-chereta is not open. Opt in once; they follow the same capped schedule as the reminders inside the app.

The part nobody else does

We'll go and buy the bid document for you

Most tender documents can't be downloaded. Someone has to go to the buying office, during working hours, and pay for a paper copy. That is half a day gone, per tender.

  • ✓Tell us where you are — type it or drop a map pin.
  • ✓We collect the document and pay the office fee on your behalf.
  • ✓It arrives at your office. You pay the fee on delivery.
  • ✓Track it by reference, from requested to delivered.

Addis Ababa only for now, and only while there is still time to collect and deliver before the tender closes.

Every new tender, straight to your phone

Connect Telegram once. The moment a notice appears in one of your sectors, the bot messages you — the buyer, the deadline, the bid bond, and a link straight to it. No app to keep open, no page to refresh.

  1. 1

    Open the bot

From Settings in E-chereta, tap Connect Telegram. The chat with @echereta_bot opens and you press Start.

  2. 2

    Share your number

One tap in Telegram. It has to be the number your account was verified on — that is what ties the chat to your company and nobody else's.

  3. 3

    Choose your sectors

Send /sectors and tick the work you bid on. Alerts start immediately, and you can change the list from the chat whenever you like.

It stays quiet

Only your sectors, once per tender, and never the same notice twice. A busy day is a handful of messages, not a stream.

The workspace

Pick your tenders, tick what you need, collect the documents

The repetitive part of a bidding week is doing the same few things to several tenders. Choose them from the ones you saved, tick the documents you want, and each one is written and opened ready to edit.

1

Choose from your saved tenders

The real cards you have been reading all week, with a ⊕ in the corner — not a second list to learn.

2

Tick the documents

Three tenders and two letters is one action, not six trips through a form. It tells you how many documents that is before it starts.

3

Edit, then download

Each one opens on your letterhead. Fix a line, ask for a rewrite, then take it as PDF, Word or Excel.

The AI Workspace

Tick five documents. Get five documents.

Pick the tenders off the cards you already saved, tick what you need, and the workspace writes all of it in one run — against that tender and your own company profile. It tells you how many documents that is, and what it costs against your daily allowance, before it starts.

💬

Ask it to rewrite a paragraph

Every document opens in a real editor, on your letterhead. Type in it, or tell the assistant to make the tone firmer, tighten the scope, add a clause. The rewrite comes back laid over your text as accept-or-reject — because a model quietly overwriting something you have been typing into is how you lose an afternoon.

It proposes, you decide
📊

Spreadsheets that survive Excel

Priced schedules arrive carrying live formulas, not numbers baked in at export. Change a quantity after you download it and the totals move, the way a spreadsheet is supposed to.

⚠️

It counts what it does not know

Where a detail is genuinely missing, the draft says [placeholder] instead of inventing a figure — and the editor counts them and tells you before you download. A placeholder left in a submitted document is a real disqualification, so it is the first thing you are shown, not a footnote.

Flagged before you download
🧮

The arithmetic is never the model’s

Every figure — the CPO, the VAT, the priced schedule, the amount written out in words — is computed in tested Python and handed to the assistant as fact. It writes the sentences around numbers it is not allowed to invent. A language model is a fine writer and a poor accountant, and a bid bond is not where you want to discover that.

No guessed figures
🌐

It reads a bid bond in three languages

“15,000 ETB”. “50,000 (ሃምሳ ሺህ ብር)”. “2%”. Those it works out. “በየሎቱ የተለያየ ነው” means it varies per lot, and it says so plainly rather than picking a number — because a guessed CPO is how a bidder reaches the office with the wrong instrument and is turned away at the counter.

Your TIN goes only where it is needed

Each document declares what it needs before it runs, and the screen shows you that same list. “Explain this tender” needs nothing, so it is sent nothing. Your bank account number reaches the assistant when you are writing a CPO request letter, and on no other occasion.

How it works

Three steps to your first tender

Register your company

Company name, TIN, email and phone. An administrator reviews it — this keeps the platform to genuine bidding businesses.

Follow your sectors

Pick the categories you bid in. The feed narrows to work you can actually win, with deadlines counting down.

Bid — we fetch the paperwork

Found one worth entering? Request delivery and the document comes to you while you prepare the rest.

Always current

Checked around the clock, so a deadline never surprises you

New notices are pulled in through the day and matched against what we already hold, so nothing is listed twice and nothing quietly goes missing. Closed tenders drop out of the feed on their own.

Alongside the tenders, we track tax and market news from Ethiopian sources — the announcements that change what a contract is worth.
